Payment Methods

Three options: Tipalti — an online payment platform some companies use to pay freelancers worldwide, (no payment limit, the newest option), Payoneer — a popular international payment service for receiving freelance earnings, (no payment limit, OneForma's preferred option with monthly direct deposit), and PayPal (capped at $300/year).

Payment Cycle & Cutoff Dates

Payments process twice a month. Payment details must be entered before the cutoff (typically the 20th of the month), and funds then arrive between the 10th and 20th of the following month. For non-China/non-RMB regions, there are 4 possible invoice-generation dates (5th, 8th, 19th, or 26th); China/RMB regions process on the 5th or 8th, confirm by the 10th, and are paid on the 20th.

Tax Forms

W-9 (a US tax form confirming you're a US resident for tax purposes) for US-resident contributors (required specifically for PayPal setup); W-8BEN (a US tax form for non-US residents receiving American income) for non-US contributors.

Minimum Earnings Threshold

Earnings under $10 USD in a given month don't generate an invoice until your balance crosses that threshold — small amounts simply roll forward instead of being paid out immediately.
