The application itself has its own failure points.
Separate from your resume and profile, the application process — account creation, identity verification, language selection — has specific steps that silently stall or reject applications every day.
How this actually works
Use the same name and details you'll later verify with an ID document. Mismatches between your account name and ID are one of the most common verification failures.
ID verification can take time to process. Most vendors require it before you can access qualification exams or paid work — don't leave it until you're ready to start.
If a project requires "native or fluent Hindi," that assessment happens later in a real test. Overstating your level here wastes your qualification attempt.
Country eligibility, minimum weekly hours, and equipment requirements vary by project — even within the same vendor.
On at least one vendor we researched, applying to one role in a family explicitly locks you out of similar roles until that application resolves — check for this before you apply broadly.
- Account name that doesn't match your government ID
- Delaying identity verification until you're ready to start paid work
- Overstating language proficiency on the application form
- Applying to multiple similar roles at the same vendor simultaneously
- Skipping the fine print on country/equipment eligibility before applying
- Match your account details exactly to your ID documents
- Complete ID verification as soon as your account is created
- Read the full project posting, not just the title, before applying
- Keep a simple record of which vendors/projects you've applied to and when
- Ask us before applying if you're unsure whether you meet a specific requirement — this is what Project Consultation is for
