TELUS Digital for Beginners: Starting Your First Remote AI Job

If you're completely new to remote AI training work and looking at TELUS Digital, this guide is for you specifically — no assumed experience, no jargon.

Where Beginners Should Start

TELUS Digital's Personalized Internet Ads Assessor (Hindi/English) role is the one we verified as genuinely open to complete beginners — no previous professional experience required. It does test real Hindi/English fluency and current familiarity with Indian media and culture, but it doesn't ask for a degree or prior work history. We cover it in full in our [dedicated Ads Assessor guide](/articles/telus-digital-personalized-ads-assessor-guide).

Setting Realistic Expectations

TELUS Digital's own estimate for this role is around $3.50/hour, and it's task-based, not a guaranteed wage. It's a legitimate, flexible way to earn while building real experience — not a path to a large, guaranteed income. Be wary of anyone who tells you otherwise about any AI-training platform.

A Realistic Growth Path

Once you have some experience and, ideally, relevant academic standing in a subject, TELUS Digital's Prompt-Response Writer tier (which we cover [here](/articles/telus-digital-prompt-response-writer-guide)) pays roughly triple the entry tier. It's a genuine next step, not a separate, unrelated opportunity.

Final Thoughts

Starting with TELUS Digital's beginner tier is a reasonable, low-barrier way to get real remote-work experience — as long as you go in with accurate expectations about pay and effort.
