What Task Search 2.0 measures
A strong evaluation separates four questions: Does the result satisfy the query? Is the name and category accurate? Is the address correct for India? Is the map pin placed correctly? Treat these as separate checks rather than allowing one strong signal to hide another error.
Read query and location intent
Start with the exact query. Identify whether it asks for a business, category, address, landmark or service. Then determine location intent. An explicit place in the query normally takes priority. Without one, fresh map context may point to the viewport or user location, while stale context is generally interpreted more cautiously.
Evaluate the result systematically
Check relevance first. A bank result for an ATM query may be a serious mismatch; a specific address returned for a query naming the entire street can still be partially useful. Next, confirm the displayed name and category through reliable evidence. Minor spelling differences and accepted local variants should not be treated the same as a different entity.
For Indian addresses, review the hierarchy in order: unit, street number, street name, sub-locality 2, sub-locality 1, locality, state and PIN code. Finally, compare the pin with the building footprint, property boundary, entrance and credible map imagery.
Final review checklist
Before submitting, re-read the query, confirm the intended location, verify entity identity, review every address field and inspect the pin at an appropriate zoom level. Your final rating should be supported by evidence, not familiarity or assumption.
