Is TELUS Digital's AI Community a real, official program?

Yes — it's TELUS Digital's own freelance data/AI-training marketplace, run at telusinternational.ai, separate from the company's regular employee careers site.

Do I need experience to apply?

Depends on the role. Roles like Personalized Internet Ads Assessor explicitly require no prior professional experience. Others, like PhD Data Partner, require a specific advanced degree. Check the individual listing.

Will I have to take an exam?

Every role we checked required a qualification exam (subject-specific and/or language) plus ID verification before you can start. Guidelines are provided in advance.

How much does TELUS Digital's AI Community pay?

It varies enormously by role — typical ranges run from about $3.50/hr up to $25/hr for most categories, with some flat-fee voice-data listings as high as $41.25. Always check the specific listing's stated rate; TTA Academy has not verified pay beyond what's publicly posted.

Is this employment or freelance work?

Freelance/contractor work under a Contractor Agreement — not direct employment with TELUS Digital.

Can I apply from India?

Yes — India has a large, dedicated set of listings, including Hindi-language roles (Personalized Internet Ads Assessor – Hindi, Quality Assurance Rater – Hindi) and English-language 'Prompt Response Writer - India' roles.

Can I apply to more than one role at once?

At least one listing we reviewed explicitly said no — applying to one role in a family holds you out of similar roles until that application resolves. This may not be a blanket platform-wide rule; check each listing's own terms.

What equipment do I need?

For the Ads Assessor role specifically: a broadband connection, a smartphone (Android 4.1+/iOS 8+) with a barcode-scanner app installed, and a personal computer with antivirus software. Requirements differ by role — this is not a universal list.

Does TTA Academy have an official partnership with TELUS Digital?

No. This page is independent research compiled from TELUS Digital's own public careers site for informational purposes — TTA Academy is not affiliated with or endorsed by TELUS Digital.

Personalized Internet Ads Assessor (Hindi/English) — TELUS Digital

Last verified: 1 August 2026 · Source: telusinternational.ai/cmp/public/jobs/available/128926

Quick take (TTA Academy's own assessment — not a TELUS Digital claim)

Difficulty: Beginner
Best suited for: Students, Freshers, Housewives, Career Switchers
Who should avoid it: anyone not fluent in both Hindi and English, or unfamiliar with current Indian media/sports/social affairs
English level needed: Professional, bilingual (Hindi + English)
Weekly time commitment: 10–20 hours/week (TELUS Digital's own stated preferred availability)

What is this project?

You're reviewing online advertisements — rating how relevant they are to the search terms that triggered them, and giving feedback on whether their language and cultural framing make sense for an Indian audience. The goal, in TELUS Digital's own words, is "making internet search and online advertising more relevant and interesting for millions of users."

If a student asks me "what's the easiest real AI-adjacent job to start with," this is close to the answer. It's not glamorous, but it's real, paid, remote work with no professional experience required.

What would I actually do day to day?

Look at an ad and the search query that produced it.
Rate how relevant the ad is to that query.
Judge whether the language and cultural references in the ad make sense in an Indian context.
Submit your ratings following TELUS Digital's guidelines.

Requirements

Full professional proficiency in both English and Hindi.
Familiarity with current and historical Indian business, media, sport, news, social media, and cultural affairs — this isn't decorative, it's actually tested, because judging "cultural relevance" requires you to know the culture.
Comfortable using Gmail/Google+ and general social media, and navigating a wide range of web content.
Daily access to broadband internet, a smartphone (Android 4.1+ or iOS 8+), and a personal computer with antivirus software.
A barcode scanner app installed on your phone — this is a specific, slightly unusual requirement worth knowing about in advance so it doesn't surprise you mid-application.

Is there an exam?

Yes — a language assessment plus an open-book qualification exam, plus ID verification. TELUS Digital says it provides guidelines and learning materials before the exam, and you complete it "at your convenience" within a set window. Treat it like a study-then-test process, not a surprise quiz.

Pay

TELUS Digital's own listing estimates around $3.50 USD/hour, paid based on completed tasks — so your actual hourly rate depends on how quickly and accurately you work. Preferred availability on this listing was 10–20 hours/week.

Who should apply

Beginners comfortable in Hindi and English, based in India, who want a genuine (if modest) entry point into paid AI-adjacent remote work without needing a degree or prior tech-industry experience. This is a reasonable first project to try before attempting higher-bar TELUS Digital roles like Prompt-Response Writer or PhD Data Partner.

How to prepare

Brush up on current events across Indian media, sports, and social platforms — the assessment tests this directly.
Make sure your phone meets the OS version requirements and can run a barcode scanner app before you apply.
TTA Academy's AI Content & Digital Marketing and Prompt Engineering Masterclass courses cover adjacent evaluation/rating skills (TTA Academy's own recommendation, not a TELUS Digital requirement).

One important caveat

The Terms on this listing state you cannot apply to multiple similar roles simultaneously — once you apply, you're locked out of similar roles until this one resolves. Apply to this specific role deliberately, not as one of several parallel attempts.
